Our staff

Today 135 employees work in WWF Russia, 77 of them are in Moscow, the rest are in the Vladivostok branch and regional offices in Murmansk, Arkhangelsk, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, Krasnoyarsk, and Krasnodar.

23 doctors of Science (habilitatus) and of Philosophy are working with us. In 2016, Yuri Darman who served as the director of the Amur branch of WWF Russia in the last 15 years received prestigious international award MIDORI, awarded for his outstanding contribution to the protection of nature. And three years earlier, Yuri Darman and Igor Chestin, the President of WWF Russia, received the title of «Honored Ecologist of the Russian Federation». The Nobel Peace Prize winner Alexei Kokorin, the head of the Climate and Energy program has been working at WWF Russia for more than 15 years. Alexey received this highest in the world of science award in 2007, along with several thousand scientists for a fundamental report on the causes and consequences of climate change. More than 20 specialists of the Foundation have been awarded honorary titles of various levels and ministries for the scientific and practical achievements, so we can safely say that we have highly professional people who are dedicated to the protection of nature.
