WWF Goal

The WWF’s work in Kamchatka focuses on combating poaching and irrational use of commercial species of animals; transit to sustainable fisheries; cooperation with mining companies in order to reduce the negative impact on the environment and introduce advanced practices to reduce damage to nature; conservation of natural ecosystems and increase of ecological literacy of the public.

WWF's work is aimed at:

  • Combating poaching.
  • Assistance to entrepreneurs that exploit forest resources.
  • Conservation of biodiversity.
  • Reduction of seabird by-catch in offshore fisheries.
  • Monitoring of economic activities.
