Taiga Festival has come to Primorye with linden honey

17 october 2018
Taiga Festival is a very important platform for WWF and the Union of beekeepers of Primorsky province to attract public attention to the issue of sustainable use of non-timber forest products, nectar bearing linden tree and taiga beekeeping.

For the second time Taiga Festival was organized by nonprofit Pacific Tourist Union with support of European Union and WWF Russia. Since 29 September to 13 October it united various businesses and partners aimed at promotion of the Ussury taiga brand, forming responsible attitude towards forest resources, harmonization of human-wildlife relations.

The final event was the celebration of Taiga Festival in “Shtykovskiye prudy” art-park. It gathered 3300 people! Tasty and heathy honey was presented at the Taigafest fairy by beekeepers of Primorsky province.

The honey theme of Taigafest was continued at the Honey afternoon tea on October 10 in the Russian cuisine restaurant "Gus-Karas". The benefits of Primorsky honey and its taste remain undervalued - says Maxim Syrnikov, brand chef of the restaurant “Gus-Karas”. Chuguevka’s beekeeper Viktor Beletsky told journalists and bloggers about the benefits of a unique product, while Andrey Yanchuk, a beekeeper from Anuchinsky district, paid attention to nuances of beekeeping in Primorye. From theory to practice: the guests were invited to taste the honey, honey wine, honey bagel, honey gingerbread and, of course, different varieties of honey from the Beekeepers Union.
