Proposals of the Far Eastern environmental grassroots will be announced at the IV All-Russia Congress on Nature Protection
Representatives of nature protection agencies, public organizations, scientific institutions, business, and governmental structures of Khabarovsky, Primorsky, Amurskaya, and Evreiskaya Provinces have gathered to discuss a broad spectrum of issues like conservation of the Far Eastern forests, habitats of tigers and leopards, utilization of household waste, effect of the recent flood in the Amur region on nature and people.
Several suggestion and proposals have been fixed in the Conferences’ Resolutions.
To develop hydropower industry only on the Amur River tributes, to restore Regional Ecological Funds and the system of the public ecological control, to develop measures for stimulation energy efficiency and recycling, and others were among them.
Among the selected delegates to participate in the IV All-Russia Congress on Nature Protection in Moscow in early December are seven heads of Nature Reserves, BROC, Khabarovsky Province Society on Nature Protection, and four representatives of WWR Russia’s Amur branch.
