WWF awards cadets of the Vladivostok branch of the Russian Customs Academy
16 april 2014
On April 16, the academy and WWF staff summed up the results of a students’ competition focused on nature conservation and supported by WWF.
«This is the fourth competition conducted at the base of the Academy in cooperation with WWF, notes Pavel Fomenko, biodiversity conservation program coordinator at WWF Russia Amur branch, one of jury members.
«In their papers the cadets researched the existing conservation problems and presented their vision on how these problems can be managed through the prism of the customs legislation. Quite possibly that todays students will deal with these exact issues in the nearest future and it is important to get them well prepared for the work as customs officials. This is WWF’s point in cooperation with the Customs Academy».
