WWF and 35AWARDS announced the launch of a photo competition
The World Wildlife Fund (WWF) and the 35AWARDS photo award have launched a joint competition to draw attention to the conservation issues of rare animal populations and their natural habitat, to support the work of specially protected natural areas, to promote conservation initiatives of WWF Russia, and to develop ecotourism.
Wildlife photographers will be able to submit up to six works in four categories: "Rare animals of Russia", "Russian reserves", "Wild animals in the city", and "Eco lifestyle". Based on the results of public vote, which will last until the end of January, the jury will evaluate the top 100 works in each of the nominations and award 10 authors with 35AWARDS prizes. FSC Russia is the information partner of the campaign.
All images submitted to the contest must be taken in Russia and have a resolution of at least 1000 pixels across the larger side. Photographs should not contain copyright marks, inscriptions, frames or other foreign elements. Photographs in the "Rare animals of Russia" nomination should contain inhabitants of the Arctic, the Caucasus, Kamchatka, the Far East, or Altai-Sayan WWF Russia priority ecoregions. Participation is free of charge for all authors.
