The guide book is made to help getting legal timber from Russia. It is oriented on those who buy round timber, lumber, paper pulp, paper, plywood, wood boards, furniture and other articles made of wood of Russian origin.

This practical guide is made on the basis of the global management “Act Legally!” edited by Global Forest and Trade Network (GFTN). The global management reviews international experience, it is oriented on organizations intended to get rid of illegal timber in their supply chains and contains general methods of legality security.

The 2nd edition takes into account changes in forest law concerned with the adoption of new Forest Code and happened till March of 2008.
