The study guide is devoted to theoretical issues and practical aspects of voluntary forest certification employment. The study guide gives a short historical review of certification development, describes approaches used for certification of forest management, timber supply chains and timber products. The study guide covers mainly FSC and PEFC certifications.

The study guide is oriented on students of universities and colleges as well as on a wide range of experts involved in providing sustainability and legality of forest management, including forest authorities’ officials, employees of forest-based sector enterprises, auditing companies, certification bodies and non-governmental organizations.
