Biodiversity conservation



WWF goal

To create conditions that will ensure stable populations of such rare species of animals as: polar bear, walrus, Amur tiger, Far Eastern and Asiatic leopards, snow leopards, Altai mountain sheep (argali) and bison; in accordance with the natural capacity of their habitats.

WWF's work is aimed at preserving rare species of animals by: creating new and supporting existing specially protected natural territories; optimizing the legislative and regulatory framework for the protection of rare species; combating poaching, introducing methods of sensitive (rational) nature management in rare species’ habitats.
